I  have been enamored with hair for as long as I can remember. There is a picture of me at five years old working on my stepdad's hair with every clip, scrunchy, and bobby pin in the house placed ever so artfully in his hair LOL. By seven, I had perfected my "nine braids into one" technique on the tails of my My Little Ponies. When I was eight, I decided I NEEDED to be able to french braid my own hair. So I  sat on my grandma's couch quite literally for 10 hours straight braiding and unbraiding my hair until I could perfectly french braid my own hair! At 14, I got my first pair of haircutting scissors as a Christmas gift and the rest is history!   

​I have been a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician for over 20 years now and have owned my own business for over a decade. In addition to my work behind the chair, I worked for 8 years as an Aveda salon educator. I never stop educating myself in this industry that I love.

My Theories

  • I NEVER specialize.  Trends and techniques are always evolving. I believe my job is to have all the possible solutions for your hair, not just one. By being fluent in Hair cutting, razor cutting, coloring, specialty/custom color services, corrective color, texture services, and special occasion styling, I can "borrow" techniques and ideas and incorporate them into everything. It allows me to see solutions that others might not.​​
  • It does not matter how "good" I am at doing hair. If I can't see YOUR vision, you will be disappointed, and if you are disappointed I won't sleep that night! Lol (not joking). ​I am incredibly thorough during my consultations. I will ask you a ton of questions!​
    • I make sure each client is confident in their own styling! I can give someone the most amazing, modern, trendy, perfect cut... but if they go home and always do what they have always done, they will always get what they have always gotten!!
    • Most importantly, I  firmly believe that hair is just that. It is hair. It is a fun way to express yourself and try on different versions of you, but it should not define us and none of us should worry about looking amazing all the time! There is too much life to live!​
    When I am not at work, I love to hike with my husband, son, and 3 dogs.  hang at home and love on my 3 kitties, garden and bird watch…all with my hair up in a scrunchy. Most likely imbedded with tree bits, drywall dust or paint splatters. ​🤪
